Dr Bob's Gun Bits was founded in 2006.  It wasn't a conscious decision to start a business - it just happened!  It all started with a Buddy Bottle Bipod clamp.  Being an air rifle enthusiast myself and the proud owner of Rapid serial number 000005      I was looking to buy a bipod clamp.  I searched around  and found that they didn't exist.  So I made one.  Then I wondered

if other people might be looking for the same thing, so after much deliberation I asked a company to make an initial batch of  a hundred, not knowing whether I would ever get my money back.  That was my first product and the rest, as they say, is history!

Since the demise of Theoben UK in 2012  we have added considerably to our range of parts and accessories and strive to  ensure that all our products are of the highest quality to give the best possible performance for our customers.  They are all made in Great Britain to our exacting specifications and have been extensively tested.  Wherever possible we use stainless steel rather than steel to minimise the possibility of corrosion. 

Having worked in the classic car restoration business for thirty years, the words 'unavailable' or 'obsolete' ore not in our vocabulary.  If the part is needed, we will have it made.   And when you deal with Dr Bob's Gun Bits you're dealing with an air rifle enthusiast who understands the technicalities and problems facing owners of classic air rifles who no longer have the support of the manufacturer. 

The Theoben Rapid is an iconic air rifle which  has stood the test of time and we want to ensure that Dave Theobold and Ben Taylor's legacy continues.
